Event: The gaming sector – the North West’s best kept secret – #bcvideogames

We are once again working with BusinessCloud, the UK’s newest tech magazine to invite questions for speakers at their upcoming breakfast event on the UK’s burgeoning video games sector.

The North West’s video games industry is home to some big players including Wilmslow, Cheshire-based Playdemic whose Golf Clash game recently netted over $1 million a day.

Playdemic was acquired earlier this year by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s TT Games label and the company’s entire portfolio has been downloaded 50 million times, bringing in more than $50 million in revenue.

Playdemic started out developing social games Gourmet Ranch and Village Life on Facebook. CEO Paul Gouge will be speaking at the event, along with leading companies in this space.

Confirmed speakers include:

Paul Rustchynsky, game director, Codemasters, Arthur Parsons, head of design, TT Games, Si Donbavand, development director, Fabrik Games, Cari Kirby, marketing manager, Team Cooper, Greg Robinson, advisor, Boomdash Digital, Annie O’Toole, head of operations, Draw & Code and SwapBots, Simon Smith, development director, Desk Dragons Interactive, Jack Bennett, CEO, Odd Bug Studio and Clayton Carpenter, programming supervisor, PlaygroundSquad.

Attendance is free, join us as we discuss the growing influence of the North West’s video games industry and where it’s headed next. There will also be a demo of the highly anticipated The Lost Bear game on PlayStation VR.

Can’t make it but want in on the conversation? You can send in a question for a speaker.
