Daily Q&A – Day 8 – Top Travel Bloggers

The best thing about travel blogs has got to be the weird, wonderful and downright esoteric names some of them have. Here’s a short list of my favourites: Vicky Flip Flop Travels, Two Monkeys Travel, Savoir There, Hand Luggage Only and Beyond Blighty.

And what do they cover? The whole gamut of life experiences, from adventure holidays to festivals, money tips for cheap places to visit to gourmet breaks, round the world wisdom to luxury getaways.

On day 8 of our Daily Q&A challenge, we spotlight the travel blogging industry, and its enduring appeal.

Back to those esoteric names. Quirky and high-spirited on the surface, they actually belie staggering amounts of dedicated writing, and from the most unusual outposts on the planet, plus impressive readership numbers to match.

For example, Two Monkeys Travel boasts a monthly readership of over 200,000 whilst Hand Luggage Only commands over 600,000 social media followers.

It’s easy to see why they are so popular: interesting and occasionally witty opinion on life on a different continent, with stunning photos of sunsets, moonscapes and metropolitan city skylines. Oh, the life of a travel writer…

Must be absolutely thrilling.

Which brings me to the point of this blog post.

If you could ask a top travel blogger one question, what would it be? And who would you ask?
